In 2005, Janet and her husband Dan registered their son Harry in St. Patrick’s kindergarten class, where she learned just how valuable a Catholic school education would be for their children. They were the third generation to attend St. Patrick’s, following their father Dan ’78, and grandmother, Josephine (White) Jones ‘43. The quality religious education and rigorous academic curriculum prepared her children to become not only devoted practicing Catholics, but responsible citizens, strong leaders, and high achievers in and out of the classroom. Janet is a teacher and work-based learning coordinator at Oneida High School, certified in special education and math 7-12. She also brings 24 years of private sector experience to the board, including 17 years as an Underwriter at MetLife Auto & Home. Janet has served as the BSA Troop 2 Oneida Committee Chairman, is a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick’s Church, Oneida. She is a graduate of Liverpool High School ’83, University of Rochester ’87 and LeMoyne College ’13.
